Aura Color Personalities
Congratulations!
You have just completed your 'Aura Energy Self-Test' and are about to discover your true colors! Have your predominant test score colors surprised you at all? Are any of them your favorite colors? Of any of the colors that rated a low score, or missing score, ones you don't really care for?
The seven primary colors of your aura are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. These seven primary colors are associated with your Chakras, the seven major energy centers of the body, located up and down your spine and skull. However, just like in a rainbow, there are colors that overlap. Among the Reds may be Pinks. A combination of Green and Blue may result in more of a Sea green, and so on. We are all a combination of colors, some more dominating than others. None of them are good or bad. All colors have their own identities. The idea is to be a balanced, and as bright, as you have the potential to be.
When reading through the following Aura Color Personality Profiles, I suggest keeping a pencil and some scratch paper handy so that you can jot down those things that you feel apply to your personality and life, right now in the moment. Don't forget to write down some thoughts concerning the colors you rated low scores in. Read through those and see if there is a part of your personality that you might want to beef up on. Are there any needs that you have been denying yourself? Have you gone overboard in one area of your life? Have you not been physical enough? All brain and no heart lately? Do you need to run and play for a bit?
By the time you finish reading your Aura Color Personalities, which will only take a couple of minutes, you will have some idea of what the cause of your imbalances might be. You will have located clues as to how you might regain your life force, or energy, through your thoughts, emotions and activities! Both positive and negative attributes are mentioned. Remember, there are no good or bad color personalities. It is not a matter of getting rid of a bad color or increasing a good one. It is all about balance so you can be a more positive and radiant you!
#1 - The Red Personality...
(+) Reds are down to earth and very physically and materially oriented. Their core motive is power. That is because they are concerned with survival. However, even though survival and independence are important to them, you will probably not find a Red sitting down to draw up a budget. The money is there, they spend it and go earn more! They are usually very confident, often because they do not understand how to be otherwise. Because of this, they are sometimes forceful people and cannot understand why others are not as confident or as active as they are. They are good at no nonsense jobs that require physical stamina and are willing to work with what they have without complaint. Although they feel extreme about their beliefs and feel intense emotion at times, Reds will try to duck and dodge intellectual discussion and debate, especially about emotions. They enjoy debate and power play only as entertainment and a means to get you tagging emotionally along. Then they are no longer interested. They are all about going and doing, not sitting and thinking.
(-) Reds can become irritated over the complexities of relationships, becoming hotheaded and inpatient when things do not go their way, to the point of bruising others with their anger. Reds may have a hard time realizing that others have feelings and needs beyond their own and that it would help to at least try to respect this rather than act with out care. They are often concerned with outward appearances rather than inner workings and values of relationships and can come across as very shallow and controlling individuals. Intimacy can be a problem for Reds. They just cannot grasp the point.

#2 - The Orange Personality...
(+) Oranges absolutely love to communicate, especially about the bizarre and unusual! Their core motive is independence. They are good at anything they put their minds and hearts to. However that does not mean that they do not need connection to others. They love it, need it, but prefer to chart their own paths in life. Above all, they avoid being controlled by anyone or thing. Many people think they have won an issue with an Orange just because they became quiet. They take it for weakness when it's really passive resistance. Oranges recoil from hostility and cruel words and will only explode when they cannot take it anymore. When they begin to feel stuck, they move on. Running away is the option for the Orange personality. They are good listeners and are often guided primarily by their feelings and keen intuition. They are excellent hosts and hostesses, surround themselves with a tidy environment and enjoy high quality foods, art, music, etc. In relationships it is important they are able to express themselves in physical ways, through gifts, or sexually, rather than words. This is because words can hurt the Orange deeply. Heaven help the person who makes the Orange feel unappreciated or as though they are stagnating! If scolded or criticized too often, the Orange will find more positive stimulation elsewhere. Following their passions are synonymous to freedom!
(-) Oranges absolute disdain taking orders from anyone. They take it as an insult to their own intelligence. Ideas and suggestions are fine, but not demands and definitely not ultimatums! It may suit the Orange to be self-employed. Self-esteem is tied directly to their relationships. They don't like real conflict even though they can spar with the best of them. However, they tend to commit to the wrong people, which leads to self-doubt, then escapism, and staying in detrimental relationships for far too long.

#3 - The Yellow Personality...
(+) No one understands the importance of expressing intellectual ideas than the Yellows. These people thrive on what they can learn, and they love finding solutions to old problems. They are quick and make educated (and fair) decisions and pride themselves on their intellect and expertise. They are often preoccupied with thoughts about the future. Turning ideas into reality is what the Yellow is good at. They use their will to get things done! Yellows make wonderful teachers, are excellent role models and are true visionaries. They are often the brightest leaders in their fields. Sometimes the Yellow may seem naive to others who do not share their endless curiosity, drive for learning or belief that all people are essentially good. Always alert, Yellows like to have laugh and have fun. You will often find them outdoors, in the sun, playing. If Yellows are not allowed to do what they love most, for any reason, they will feel completely deprived and turn negative feelings upon themselves. They are easily bored, like Reds, and do not want to sit still for long unless their minds are positively engaged. To be valued and praised is a boon to Yellow. And, being around fun and affection people, who will allow them their 'willfulness', rank high on their list of priorities.
(-) It would help the Yellow to realize that not everyone has the playfulness or the curiosity that they do. Sometimes Yellow can wear out those around them! Yellows become their own worst enemy when they begin to over analyze everything. This keeps them from dealing with their emotions. In fact, intellectualism is the Yellow's defense and escape. Ask any writer! It is important for the Yellow to ask what is being felt as well as what is being thought. Yellows often become splintered personalities. This is a symptom of Heart and Mind not being in alignment.

#4 - The Green Personality...
(+) Greens are empathic to the extreme, and are interested in all things metaphysical! Not only can they feel what others are feeling, but they can see the beginning of a problem to the end and back without much mental struggle at all. Their thinking processes are almost computer-like, with signals being picked up, scanned and spit back out in patterns that would take the rest of us hours to understand! In fact, Greens are happiest when discovering the patterns in everything. They don't even know how talented they are and don't understand that not everyone shares their gifts. Greens are great organizers. Where the Yellows are great, organized thinkers, Greens are the organized planners, having the ability to get everything done efficiently. Being open to change helps them with this. Greens have excellent communications skills and enjoy passing on information. In fact, with their healing energy, which they are not even aware they have much of the time, they often heal others, with loving energy, from a distance. Greens care very much about humanity, nature and the environment. You'll find them in the all natural section of the grocery store purchasing organic dish soap. Selective about their friends and how they spend their money, Greens are less interactive in social settings and are often social observers. They have no problem waiting for the right moment to arrive in any situation. In fact, not wanting to feel choppy waters all around them is what makes them wait. Security is important to Green, as well as growth, both in relationships (which may be rocky due to Green being able to feel 'truths' more than most) and finances. Greens are loyal until disrespected. Then it is over. Without respect there simply is no love. Green knows this better than most. Employment may be a problem. Because their interests are so different than most, they may feel socially unacceptable and not know what to focus on. It is hard for the Green just to 'settle' for the practical, or for less. Hence, they continually strive to understand their relationships, their life purpose, and are often uniquely self-employed.
(-) Greens have a tendency to get upset with others who do not have the speedy mental and empathic abilities that they have. They get irritated with those who don't do things as well as they do. (Not everyone has the gumption to see a task through to such perfection!) The problems lies in that Greens believe that all people are born with these qualities and if they do not use them Greens consider them to be ignorant. It would benefit the Green to accept these qualities as 'gifts'. Most Greens will not agree, however. Being this empathic can feel like a curse! It is hard to go through life sensing the true feelings and needs of all those around you. Some Greens are so highly sensitive they develop phobias. The ones who do not know how to manage their gifts may attract needy, or abusive, people and relationships out of a desire to belong. Greens 'enemy' is a tendency toward reclusiveness. They have much to share and will wither without doing so.

#5 - The Blue Personality...
(-) Blues have tremendous depth of feeling and compassion. They love to serve! This is how they express love. These people often ignore their own needs to take care of the needs of others. Blues are motivated by altruism and intimacy (not necessarily sexual). Selflessness is their philosophy. They find it necessary to be around family and friends, especially at holidays. They do best when they are living with others and able to lend a supportive role. Blues laugh and cry easily. Like the Greens, they have an intuitive grasp of emotions and often base their decisions on their feelings rather than on logic or rational thinking. But, they also prefer (because of their dislike for conflict) consensus in making decisions. This can be hard for others to understand. These people love the softer side of sports such as ice-skating or golf. They are quiet people. When they are not doting on someone, they can be found knitting or reading. Dealing with emotional issues are what they are best at and they are wonderful at coming up with the right word to calm the soul and heal the spirit. Wherever emotional stability is needed, you will find Blues. They spend much of their time in love and will sacrifice an ordinary job for a relationship. To love and be loved is a priority. They need sincere gratitude, to be remembered and appreciated. They take their work very seriously and will most likely be involved in a service that benefits mankind in some way. Blues have the highest sense of integrity and are motivated to act from the highest self at all times. They would rather lose than cheat.
(-) Although Blues do well with positive emotions, they really do not fair well with the negative. They shrivel up and avoid conflict like the plague! It would help the Blue to learn how to say "no" more often. Blues take way too much upon themselves, often carrying responsibility for others emotions, and then, as a result, suffer from negative emotions such as fear, anger and resentment when others take advantage of them. Then they feel guilty that they feel these emotions and, if nothing is done to change things, they draw themselves into a downward spiral of problems that are not their own. Blues would benefit from determining what levels of sacrifices they are willing or unwilling to make, and to love themselves as they love others. Being around positive people is key for Blues!
Occupations for Blues: Missionary, Nuns, Service Technician, Counselor, Veterinarian, Museum Curator, Surgeon, Actor, Directors.
#6 - The Indigo Personality...
(-) Indigos are graced with the knowledge of who they are, what they want and where they fit into the cosmic plan! They are extremely deep thinkers that surpass even the Greens in their ability to see into deep intricacies and connections that most do not give much thought to. They don't much care about belonging to a group or of having followers. Theirs is a highly individual path and they are content to spend their time exploring their own interests. Indigo has a 'built in ' perception of what the universe would be if we were all operating from our highest selves. They are blessed with Akashic memory. They have no regard for conformity and will tell you that rules were not meant for them, but then again they do not need them. Their inner world of what is just transcends what the world considers to be so. Indigo is completely open-minded about different lifestyles and ways of being. No prejudice here, except toward those who are. They appreciate divine mystery and will often study on such subjects for as long as they are interested. Funny thing though; it is not so much to learn something as it is to review. Indigos are extremely selective about associations and often will not bother to be around anyone, or anything, negative or closed in any way. They want to work in positions where they will be appreciated for their high moral and social standards. Like the Greens, they are observers, but like the Blues they prefer calm. In fact, content to be alone much of the time, noise and crowds leave Indigo completely overwhelmed and undone. Indigo may be considered, by some, to be eclectic. At the very least, reclusive.
(-) Because of Indigo's high standards and unique viewpoint on life, it may be easy for Indigo to become obsessed or fanatical in trying to impose ideas on others. It would be wise for an Indigo to listen to their intuition and to remember we are all on different paths and at various levels of learning at our own pace. Indigo would also benefit from remembering to stop and enjoy the moment and the simpler pleasures here on earth.

#7 - The Violet Personality...
(+) Although Violets may appear to be cold and indifferent to others, they are deep and passionate on the inside. They love intense conversation that serves some significant purpose. Although a natural loner, sharing lofty ideals can spell heaven to them, especially if it elicits interested followers. Healthy Violets share a universal life energy that is combined with practicality. What this means is that they can follow up on their visions for the future in a most common sense way. This simplicity may seem like magic to most of us because Violet always seems, without effort, to place all of the pieces of life exactly where they should go. They pour all of their energy (with help from ties to universal energy) into causes and beliefs. Violets inspire us through their enthusiasm and dedication. They are extremely driven and are natural leaders who communicate boldly, but simply, in a motivating manner. Like Indigo (and tied to Indigo as well), they intuitively understand foreign and ancient ideas and are natural researchers. Violets hear a calling and pursue it! The rest of us consider Violet to be very brave (perhaps even heroes) and, at the least, innovative. Violets rely on faith. On a personal note, Violets have a wonderful sense of humor, but rarely show it. They cannot tolerate anyone laughing at what they consider to be their mission. Violets light the way for others and will do nothing to be taken less seriously.
(-) Because Violets keep their feelings to themselves, it is hard for others to see the effect of their thoughts upon Violets. In fact, Violets may seem unapproachable and somehow 'above' the rest of us. On the outside, Violets seem unbothered, but the inner churnings of a Violet can be choppy, especially when Violets intuitively sense negative impressions about what others feel toward them. This can make them doubt their own abilities and sometimes even doubt God. It would help Violet to know that if they are questioning themselves, and the world they live in, that they are further along than most of us already! To share that wonderful hidden sense of humor, and risk being seen as human after all (and accepted for it), would benefit Violet and increase inner strength rather than take it away, as Violet expects. Laughter is medicinal for the Violet!
