The Hierophant is concerned with moral development and a search for spiritual meaning most often related to society's structures and codes.

 

This card is about prayer, meditation and discovering God’s will as it applies to you and what you do with your life.

 

It is also implies ‘religion’ and you may be exploring different doctrines. Perhaps you have found a religious group or a philosophy you closely identify with.

 

There seems to be a need for study and a love for learning. You may receiving some official learning from experts, or seeking advice from them.

 

Perhaps there is a lesson or truth you have to learn, or teach.

 

This card may represent someone warm who encourages your spirituality and is receptive toward your feelings and thoughts. They may have wisdom or experience to share with you.

 

There may be a religious ceremony, experience or rite of passage. A circumcision or Bar-Mitzvah.

 

Relationships are very traditional or platonic. A marriage could be voluntarily, and agreeably, celibate.

 

There can be preference for tradition, established guidelines and following familiar paths. In fact, this card implies that there may be required practices, or rituals, that may be followed up with negative consequences if not followed as required, such as being banned from a group for not living up to expectations.

 

Your image to the outside world is of a concern to you.

 

 

 

Reversed Hierophant’s Energy Wellness Advice

 

You may be struggling with a force that is rigid, not free spirited or individual.

 

You may be living in a situation that is inimical to your own well being, or goes against all you believe in, or hold dear.

 

You may know you don’t belong where you are but are afraid of the results of going your own way. Are you conforming in order to be accepted? At what price?

 

Someone may be manipulating you through fear, or from withholding information from you in order to keep you from advancing, or leaving.

 

Customs can be comforting, but may also become stifling and you may feel like overthrowing tradition.

 

Perhaps you are more comfortable with new age beliefs and seek more original methods through unorthodox practices such as Tarot, Runes or Wicca.

 

A wedding or some other ceremony may be delayed or called off. You may be deciding to cancel your engagement, or seek a divorce.

 

Sometimes this card represents feeling as though you have no one to give you encouragement.

 

You may be lonely, feel you don’t belong anywhere and that you are standing outside the circle of life, and looking in. Part of the trouble may be in needing to utilize your vocal cords and speak out.

 

You may find that you faith is being challenged and that it is time to trust yourself.

 

 

 

 

The Captains Lady's Energy Wellness Recommendations

 

There is no real advice one can give on how to decide what to believe in. This is something that each of us has to do for ourselves. However, there are ways of getting to know ourselves better and discovering what is important to us, and what is not. I suggest taking the 'Aura Energy Self-Test' to determine your 'Aura Color Personality'. This can be extremely useful in determining why you react the way you do to certain people and situations. It gives you a view of your morals and your values.

 

If you are feeling lonely, or needing some help or advice, why not join a group that reflects your own interests at this point. There may be a church you are interested in. Perhaps there is a weight loss company you would like to join to help keep yourself on track. 

 

If you are in a negative situation, relationship, or being effected by another in a harmful way, read 'Dealing With Negativity'.

 

It could be that you are trying to enforce your traditions a little too forcefully on others. Perhaps you could incorporate some new traditions into the old, a sign of openmindedness and a willingness to grow.

 

Occasionally, the reversed Hierophant stands for a fanatical tyrant. Add religion and morals to the equation and you may be dealing with someone like Dracula (the real one) or Hitler, who enforces their own beliefs to the very extreme. For your own health, if you are dealing with someone, or group, like this, reconsider your position and seek help if necessary.
