Hello. I'm Mari (pronounced Mah-REE Jo-NAY Dee-AWN). Welcome to The Captains Lady.
Are you often fatigued, irritable, sad or hypersensitive?
We all experience these things from time to time. However, if you have been feeling this way for longer than you care to remember you could be living with a chronic condition, such as Chronic Pain Syndrome, or are a Highly Sensitive Person and simply more sensitive to stress than others are.
Or, you maybe you're stuck in a way of life that is inimical to your well-being and draining away your precious energy, such as a poor relationship or job dissatisfaction.
Or, maybe you've been told you've contracted Herpes Simplex Virus and are having a hard time managing your symptoms.
Highly sensitive or not, if you are experiencing rough seas and are wondering how to navigate to smoother waters The Captains Lady can help.
Since 2005, I have been providing Highly Sensitive People information about the trait of sensitivity and how to go about using natural remedies when being highly sensitive hurts.
For several years, I was employed as, both, a nutritional weight loss counselor and behavioral management facilitator for two of the world's leading weight loss centers, Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem.
I have studied, each to varying degrees, herbs, essential oils, energy balancing techniques and old world philosophies, such as the combined Hippocratic and Galenic theories of the four humors, Gnosticism, and the interrelated studies of Jewish, Islamic and Christian religions (including the mystical Tree of Life), which includes the associated studies of color meanings, astrology, mythology, numerology, and symbolism.
The Captains Lady's Mission
The Captains Lady's mission is to help all those who are negatively affected by sensitivity to relieve symptoms, syndromes and dis-ease that doctors have a hard time treating, of at all, intuitively and naturally when being highly sensitive hurts.
