Menopause is one of those topics, like death, that no one seems to talk about. Oh, we joke, we voice fears, but we women, especially baby boomers, never really talk about what to expect or what to do about it in order to have our natural remedy arsenals prepared.
But, do we really need an arsenal of remedies against menopause? After all, if it's a natural state, a cycle, of life, why should we expect to be tortured emotionally and physically by something so natural?
Truth be told, some women, most in fact, sail right through menopause without hardly a symptom, happy to be relieved of the monthly 'dread' and looking forward to the next 30 years of a more contented sex life free from the worry of getting pregnant (yes, even old ladies are capable of enjoying a healthy sex life).
So, why do some of us have such a hard time navigating menopause with symptoms, such as brain fog, moodiness, anger, hot flashes, hair loss and vaginal complaints?
It all comes down to what shape your hormones are in at the time your life cycle begins, which has nothing to do with menopause really and everything to do with diet, lifestyle and attitude.
While it is true Highly Sensitive Women will notice changes going on in their body, simply because they are so sensitive, it doesn't mean they have to suffer. It's never too late to get in shape, make a lifestyle change or refresh your attitude.
